As much as I dislike saying goodbye to summer, fall is pretty exciting too. The freshness in the air, the pretty colors, the new releases of everything from boots to wall decor.

Danish company Ferm Living just announced their new fall collection – it is fabulous and very much in keeping with the forecasted fall trends: natural materials, geometric, often masculine shapes, and muted natural colors.

The new items include:

The Copenhagen poster (this is one of my favorites among their new stuff) comes in two sizes and shows off some of the famous landmarks in Denmark’s capital: the Royal Guard, the Little Mermaid the Opera, etc. It is also available as a tea towel.

There are also several new wallpaper designs: the 50s-inspired Spear (which comes in two colorways: shades of gray and very pretty muted pinks), the Harlequin (in gray), and for the kids the Dotty (trees in gray and pink), the Happy Harlequin (in a mix of orange, gray, white and pink), the blue and yellow Robots, the cute pale gray Rush Hour, and the Village (cartoonish houses in the same colors as the Happy Harlequin).

Wall Stickers
New wall decals include the adorable blackboards ABC house and Cloud, as well as the “regular” vinyl wall stickers The Village (a little skyline) in red, blue and purple, Stars in gold and purple, and The Football Game.

All of the wallpaper patterns can also be found on pillows, and a few on kitchen towels, napkins and mugs. There are also two super cute new bulletin boards, they’re really just simple cork boards, but they are house-shaped, which makes all the difference (for more house shapes from Ferm, see the wooden shelves post). And for kids, there are four new wall lights in the shapes of a tree, house, deer and car, all made from smoked oak.

I also have to mention the egg cups and the tea pot – so cute, and the tea pot reminds me of something my Grandmother had. That might have to go on the Christmas wish list…
